Our family-friendly thatched-roof vacation home offers you many opportunities for relaxation by the North Sea. On the ground floor, you'll find a living room, dining area, kitchen, bathroom, and two bedrooms. The upper floor features two additional bedrooms (children's rooms) and a bathroom. The nearby Wadden Sea invites you to go mudflat hiking. The Dithmarschen countryside is perfect for cycling, and there are cozy restaurants to enjoy as well. In Meldorf, just 3 km away, you'll not only find good food but also various cultural attractions. It's no wonder Meldorf is called the cultural capital of Dithmarschen.

Our lovingly renovated original thatched-roof vacation home, which was once a shoemaker's house, offers you the opportunity to truly relax. It is located in Dithmarschen, a very flat area behind the North Sea dike. The area is perfect for long bike rides, hikes, or walks in front of and behind the dike. Guided mudflat hikes are also available. You can find more information on the website of Meldorf , which is only 2 km from our house. It's also not far to Büsum and St. Peter-Ording.

Data Protection Declaration according to EU GDPR
§1 Stored Data Content
If the contract is concluded directly between the guest and the landlord, only the personal data necessary for the business transaction will be stored in the contract between Ferienhaus Burkard and the respective booking guest. These are the guest's first name, last name, and address, a telephone number, and the email address.
If the booking is made through other portals such as Booking.com, the data protection declarations stored there apply.
§2 Storage Location
The data mentioned in §1 will be stored exclusively on the company's computer as part of the respective contract. The backup is done on a separate company-owned server. The data will remain there for 5 years, unless the guest requests otherwise. After that, the contract will be deleted. If the guest requests deletion earlier, it will be done immediately after the request, but no earlier than after fulfillment of the contract.
Under no circumstances will the data be passed on to third parties.
§3 Data Security
The company computer as well as the server are protected by up-to-date security software (McAfee).
